I have had many opportunities to explore multiple facets of the news media industry as a participant, writer, and editor, — logging time at regional newspapers across the western U.S. as a journalist with an emphasis on newsroom technologies and graphic arts while teaching newsroom technology to other journalists. I've gained a bird's eye view through years of documenting and participating in an evolving industry. Most recently,  I wrote, researched, and edited a blog for C-level executives focusing on the relationship between international news media publishers and the giant digital platforms that play a role in all of our lives.
